Hey guys!! This look has be hanging out on my laptop for sooo long now (you can tell by the fresh snow I was walking in). I think it’s finally time to share since spring is almost here and you’ll judge my procrastination even more if I wait any longer. I’ve been wearing a lot of all black looks lately because 1. I love wearing black 2. It’s easy to wear and style when I’m rushing to school and 3. It was my way of making sure I could be found in all the snow we were getting buried in. Continue reading
Hey guys! Happy New Year!! We’re 7 days in already. How are you doing? Have you managed to keep your resolutions so far? I don’t usually make resolutions. I definitely think about things that I want to do and achieve in the coming year, but don’t really set them in stone or make a list. This year I’ve surcome to the resolution hype. I’ve made a few beauty and fashion resolutions that I thought I’d share. Let’s see how long I can keep them up. Continue reading
Remember in the last post how I said that now of all times I’m loving wearing skirts and dresses? Yaaaa, I wasn’t joking. Here I am in a sleeveless dress like it’s May and not mid December (YAY for the above zero temperatures we’ve been having!!). I still need to remind myself that its cold and winter dressing time. I could’ve been a little warmer in this look but I was pretty comfortable thanks to some secret layering tricks. Want to know what they are? (I ask like I’m not just about to tell you anyway). Hey friends! Hope you’ve all had a great Monday, or at least a bearable one. I’m finally doing my first beauty post! No longer will that beauty menu tab lead to an empty content page. Slow clap for me!
So for this first beauty post, I wanted to share one of my latest obsessions; the negative space mani. I have been nonstop re-pinning pictures of these manicures on Pinterest and they’ve quickly become a favourite nail look of mine this season. Continue reading
In my last post I mentioned that I had gotten together with a few local bloggers a while back to work on a project, so today I’m sharing the details of that with you. The project we worked on was a fall/winter lookbook where we each styled key pieces and trends for fall and winter. I was assigned the sports luxe trend and was only too happy to know that I would get to style my Nikes outside the gym (but to be real I have not yet worn them to the gym). They’re my “fashion sneakers” I got for the sole purpose of styling looks like this one. I’ll let you know when I decide to actually be active and sweat in them, but don’t hold your breath. I’ve been staring at my laptop screen for way longer than I’d like to admit, trying to figure out what the hell to write about today. It’s been a real struggle, but the blogging gods have answered my prayers because frankly they’re probably sick of my whining and now I have so much to say my hands can’t type fast enough to get it all out. I’m gonna pipe down, have some food and I’ll get back to this a little less hangry (It’s a real thing, google it). Continue reading
“You look Amish.” That’s the lovely comment I got from my mother when she first saw me in this hat 😂. My answer: “Bishh swerve!!” No I’m kidding! She would’ve killed me. It went more like this: “Well I’m the cutest Amish I’ve ever seen, so bye Felicia!” My mom literally comes up with the funniest ways to describe some of the pieces in my closet, especially the ones she’s not so fond of. Another one of my favourite examples is her calling Harem pants “diarrhea pants”. Yup that’s what I deal with lol. Anyone else have a family member that just doesn’t understand your style? This is my first official fall post, so I put together this look that I felt was pretty appropriate for fall considering the colours and fabrics of the pieces I styled together. If we’re considering the fact that this “sweater” (can I even call it that?) is sleeveless and that I’m wearing sandals, then maybe it’s not so fall appropriate but we do get those random days where the weather is quite co-operative. If not, you could easily add on a jacket and swap out the sandals for some ankle booties.
About three weeks ago, my boyfriend surprised me by renting these super cute bikes for us to ride around the city on our anniversary. I’ve been wanting to do so forever so I was really excited to finally be getting it done! I think there are a couple of companies in the city that do public bike rentals, but now that I’ve seen how cute these bikes are and how easy it was to rent with Right Bike, I’ll definitely be sticking with them. Continue reading
Can we just have a moment of silence for the summer that was. I could just cry thinking of the cold ahead. I do love fall though! Fall fashion is definitely my fave, but let’s be real, fall in Ottawa is more like a fling. Winter is the real commitment if you ask me. I’m sending off the summer by sharing with you some of the newest beauty and fashion items I’ve purchased this summer. Continue reading
