Spring Neutrals

IMG_3537

Hey guys! How are you all? Anyone else suuuper excited that it’s finally actually looking like spring here?! Mother Nature has been playing us lately with last minute snow storms, freezing rain and fake sunshine, but finally the temperatures are climbing. Still, the day I wore this look was one of those days where you look outside and a huge smile spreads on your face because your like OMG sun!! Then, you step outside in a cute (not winter appropriate) outfit and proceed to regret all the choices you made. I was fooled by the sun. It was cold af, but I wasn’t about to let winter win so I carried on in the cold (but really it’s Continue reading

Black Out

FullSizeRender-4

Hey guys!! This look has be hanging out on my laptop for sooo long now (you can tell by the fresh snow I was walking in). I think it’s finally time to share since spring is almost here and you’ll judge my procrastination even more if I wait any longer. I’ve been wearing a lot of all black looks lately because 1. I love wearing black 2. It’s easy to wear and style when I’m rushing to school and 3. It was my way of making sure I could be found in all the snow we were getting buried in. Continue reading

My Fashion & Beauty New Year’s Resolutions

IMG_2670

Hey guys! Happy New Year!! We’re 7 days in already. How are you doing? Have you managed to keep your resolutions so far? I don’t usually make resolutions. I definitely think about things that I want to do and achieve in the coming year, but don’t really set them in stone or make a list. This year I’ve surcome to the resolution hype. I’ve made a few beauty and fashion resolutions that I thought I’d share. Let’s see how long I can keep them up. Continue reading

The White Coat

llllll

Have you ever worn a coat any other colour than your typical black or grey and felt like you stood out like a sore thumb? That’s how I felt the day I wore this coat; like a white dot in a sea of darker dots swimming through the mall. It had me feeling like all eyes were on me (that was probably in my own head, you know that whole spotlight effect we all experience). But you know when you catch someone staring at you, and you have no idea why or if it was a good or bad stare? I used to never know how to feel about it. I’d be like, “Do I look crazy? Did I do something weird? Do I have something on my face? In my teeth? Continue reading

A Gift Guide for the ‘Fashion Girl’ on Your List

Processed with VSCOcam with a6 preset

It’s Friday, December 18th, that means only one week until Christmas!! That sentence either a) excited you and made you jump for joy or b) struck fear and panic into your soul! (Ok, probably wasn’t that dramatic but you know what I mean). If you experienced option a), then high five because me and you both finished our Christmas shopping already! (I’m particularly excited about being done early because it’s the first time ever and I’m pretty proud of myself, snaps for me!). If you experienced option b) you are a last minute shopper! You’ll be wandering around the mall with that ‘O Ma gawd’ look on your face. But don’t worry, I’ve been there many times, so this year I’m here for you. Continue reading

A Walking Ad

FullSizeRender-5

Remember in the last post how I said that now of all times I’m loving wearing skirts and dresses? Yaaaa, I wasn’t joking. Here I am in a sleeveless dress like it’s May and not mid December (YAY for the above zero temperatures we’ve been having!!). I still need to remind myself that its cold and winter dressing time. I could’ve been a little warmer in this look but I was pretty comfortable thanks to some secret layering tricks. Want to know what they are? (I ask like I’m not just about to tell you anyway). Continue reading

Cape-ing It Real

IMG_9148

Don’t be fooled by these pictures and my calm demeanour, it was cold out, I was freezing by the end of shooting! Although temperatures here have been warmer than usual (GASP! They’re even calling for a green Christmas!), this outfit definitely should’ve come together earlier in the season. So, fair warning, if you’d like to recreate this look make sure to layer under the turtleneck and/or opt for a thicker long sleeved one. Also, you can definitely add a jacket, but I felt like the ones I have didn’t work well with the look and I really wanted the cape to stand on it’s own. I think a long streamlined black coat could work well if you happen to have one. Continue reading
