Hey guys! In my last post,I shared an outfit with you that I styled for Bluesfest. Like I mentioned last time, it was my first time attending the festival and I had a blast!! My favourite shows were Belly (surprisingly), The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Nelly. I would’ve definitely added Drake to that list had he shown up as the surprise guest at the Future show like the rumours were saying. I’m not even going to go into that because the disappointment was soooo real *ugly cries*.
Anyway, we are still in festival season so I thought I would share two other outfits that I wore to Bluesfest. The first look is what I wore to the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I felt this look had a good vibe for their style of music, it gave a little rocker chic feel…or something lol. I definitely had the type of music in mind when picking my outfits since music and fashion go hand and hand. For this look, I paired this band style graphic t-shirt with black cut-off shorts and threw on this denim jacket (mostly to help cover myself in the rain…why did it rain so much?!?) and a neck scarf to add some edge.
I wore Look 2 on the second last day of Bluesfest when Nelly was playing. So again I kept the style of music in mind and styled a more urban and “sexy” look. Of course I wore cut-off shorts again since they’re one of my favourite pieces to wear in the summer, but this time I paired them with this fitted deep-V bodysuit.
You’ll notice that many of the pieces in this post were thrifted. That’s definitely a tip I wanted to share with you all. Hit up a thrift store to get your festival looks together. You can find some really cool and different festival appropriate pieces to help your looks stand out. Also, it’s a great way to try something new and step out of your comfort zone without spending too much.
Hope I’ve given you some inspo for your next festival adventure and that you’ve enjoyed this post. See you in the next one!
