Something Blue

FullSizeRender-3

Raise your hand if you feel personally victimized by mother nature lately….ya, me too. This rain is toooo much!!! All I want is some sun to be able to go out and walk around in cute outfits like this one. I really don’t ask for much, but April showers are out here disrespecting boundaries and continuing on into May.

I’m ignoring the rain and sharing this very spring/summer outfit that hopefully will get you inspired and that you can re-create if it ever stops raining :). As I mentioned in the last post, I am taking part in the spring/summer campaign going on at Place d’Orleans. The campaign theme is to find your colour, so we are encouraging everyone to add a little bit of colour to their wardrobe by having myself and three other bloggers showcase the colour of the month. May is my month and if you hadn’t guessed by the outfit my colour is blue! This is my first outfit to show you that you need blue in your closet and that it’s probably the easiest colour to inject into your life (we all have at least one pair of blue jeans right?).

For an all blue ensemble, my best tip is to vary the shades of blue. Actually, that goes for most outfits where you’re wearing a single colour all over. Here, I went with a pale blue dress and then accessorized with darker blue pieces. I also opted for greys and silver just because those are also cool toned and can almost look blue-ish so I thought they worked really well with the look.

To see some more ways to incorporate blue into your looks, check out the Facebook live we did with Place d’Orleans here. You’ll also get to see the other colours and bloggers in the campaign and once you’re done watching you can vote #teamblue in the comments to be entered to win a $250 gift card to shop and add aaall the colour to your closet!

I’ll be posting more blue looks here and on Insta so stay tuned! xo
