A Walking Ad

FullSizeRender-5

Remember in the last post how I said that now of all times I’m loving wearing skirts and dresses? Yaaaa, I wasn’t joking. Here I am in a sleeveless dress like it’s May and not mid December (YAY for the above zero temperatures we’ve been having!!). I still need to remind myself that its cold and winter dressing time. I could’ve been a little warmer in this look but I was pretty comfortable thanks to some secret layering tricks. Want to know what they are? (I ask like I’m not just about to tell you anyway). Cape-ing It Real

IMG_9148

Don’t be fooled by these pictures and my calm demeanour, it was cold out, I was freezing by the end of shooting! Although temperatures here have been warmer than usual (GASP! They’re even calling for a green Christmas!), this outfit definitely should’ve come together earlier in the season. So, fair warning, if you’d like to recreate this look make sure to layer under the turtleneck and/or opt for a thicker long sleeved one. Also, you can definitely add a jacket, but I felt like the ones I have didn’t work well with the look and I really wanted the cape to stand on it’s own. I think a long streamlined black coat could work well if you happen to have one. Continue reading

How To Sport Luxe

IMG_2338

In my last post I mentioned that I had gotten together with a few local bloggers a while back to work on a project, so today I’m sharing the details of that with you. The project we worked on was a fall/winter lookbook where we each styled key pieces and trends for fall and winter. I was assigned the sports luxe trend and was only too happy to know that I would get to style my Nikes outside the gym (but to be real I have not yet worn them to the gym). They’re my “fashion sneakers” I got for the sole purpose of styling looks like this one. I’ll let you know when I decide to actually be active and sweat in them, but don’t hold your breath.  Continue reading

All White & A Little Grey

IMG_8197

I’ve been staring at my laptop screen for way longer than I’d like to admit, trying to figure out what the hell to write about today. It’s been a real struggle, but the blogging gods have answered my prayers because frankly they’re probably sick of my whining and now I have so much to say my hands can’t type fast enough to get it all out. I’m gonna pipe down, have some food and I’ll get back to this a little less hangry (It’s a real thing, google it). Continue reading

“You look Amish” – Mom

IMG_8439

“You look Amish.” That’s the lovely comment I got from my mother when she first saw me in this hat 😂. My answer: “Bishh swerve!!” No I’m kidding! She would’ve killed me. It went more like this: “Well I’m the cutest Amish I’ve ever seen, so bye Felicia!” My mom literally comes up with the funniest ways to describe some of the pieces in my closet, especially the ones she’s not so fond of. Another one of my favourite examples is her calling Harem pants “diarrhea pants”. Yup that’s what I deal with lol. Anyone else have a family member that just doesn’t understand your style? My Top 5 Favourite Things About Fall Fashion

IMG_8326

This is my first official fall post, so I put together this look that I felt was pretty appropriate for fall considering the colours and fabrics of the pieces I styled together. If we’re considering the fact that this “sweater” (can I even call it that?) is sleeveless and that I’m wearing sandals, then maybe it’s not so fall appropriate but we do get those random days where the weather is quite co-operative. If not, you could easily add on a jacket and swap out the sandals for some ankle booties.

Lavender Cruiser

IMG_7502

About three weeks ago, my boyfriend surprised me by renting these super cute bikes for us to ride around the city on our anniversary. I’ve been wanting to do so forever so I was really excited to finally be getting it done! I think there are a couple of companies in the city that do public bike rentals, but now that I’ve seen how cute  these bikes are and how easy it was to rent with Right Bike, I’ll definitely be sticking with them. Locks of Love

IMG_6988

Hi everyone!! Hope you’ve all been enjoying your summer. If not, hop to it! Do something you’ve been wanting to do before the cold is back, because it’s right around the corner (unless you like the cold, I’m not a fan -_- ).

I wore this look out on two occasions, first on a night out in Montreal and then to a networking event and I got a great response. I usually shy away from this dress shape, I think many girls tend to as well. Continue reading

A Montreal Wedding

IMG_6792

This past weekend I was in Montreal to attend a wedding. I had the best time, and everything from the venue to the flowers and of course the bride were beautiful!! As per usual I was enjoying myself too much to take pictures of everything but I did make sure to quickly shoot my outfit in the parking lot. I had  to share this look with you all because I looove this dress and not gonna lie I was definitely feeling myself that day :P. Continue reading
